Greetings friends, fellow readers and followers!
I wanted share with you what the Lord has placed on my heart which relates to the purpose of Lady in Waiting 222.
When I started this blog about a year and half ago, I literally put it together in about an hour one afternoon, while working, (sorry Lord!) because it was so heavy on my heart that day. I remember the day like it was yesterday as I feverishly typed away on my laptop what the Holy Spirit had downloaded into my spirit. I felt if I didn’t get it out right then, I was going to burst. You can read more about where this concept came from here.
When people see the phrase Lady in Waiting, they automatically think that it means a woman who is waiting on her husband-her Boaz or her Adam-to show up and arise from his sleep. And while this is true for many, God gave me a deeper understanding of what it means for me and this blog, hence why I have 222 at the end. Interested in knowing the significance of 222? Check it out here.
As is His way, the Lord continues to reshape and redefine things for me as I grow in Him. As we take steps further into our purpose, things become even more clear and more focused.
Recently, He has reminded me of some things that hold even greater significance, the weightiest of them all, for Lady in Waiting 222 and what this blog and my life represents. I have been toying with this thought for a while and as prompted by the Lord, felt the need to share this today.
Whatever you are waiting for: to be married, to start a family, to start a business, to go back to school, to travel more, to become debt free, to receive that promotion, or the restoration of a relationship, I want to strongly encourage you to not only become God’s best right now while waiting (which is Lady In Waiting 222’s tagline), but to remember and keep your focus on what is most important.
Whether you ever experience a wedding or marriage here on earth, whether you ever become a parent, either naturally or by adoption, whether you ever receive a promotion, start your business, finish that book, go back to school, buy your dream home, etc., be sure that in your mind and heart, you are waiting for the most important thing you will ever wait for in this life: the Bridegroom to come.
Be sure that you are preparing now for the wedding and marriage of a lifetime when the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ Himself, comes back for His Bride, the church, which is you, if you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior.
Be sure you are ready when He comes.
This applies to you whether you are single, married, divorced, in a relationship or widowed.
Be a Lady in Waiting who is preparing herself now for this grand event, when Christ returns for His Bride that is “without spot or wrinkle or any other blemish” (Ephesians 5:27).
Don’t be like the 5 virgins (some translations say bridesmaids) described in Matthew 25:1-13 as foolish. They were not ready when He returned because they had not taken the time to prepare beforehand. Instead, they became drowsy and fell asleep (Matt. 25:5) and ended up missing Him when He arrived.
Don’t become so caught up in everything else you may be waiting on or for that you miss Him when He comes.
Nothing and no one is more important than being a Lady in Waiting as you wait for Him.
