We’ve all heard the phrase: “Blessed to be a blessing”, right?
Well let’s put a spin on this very popular phrase as it relates to the Kingdom of God.
I want to address our mindset and thinking on this.
If we are to become God’s best right NOW while waiting, it is crucial to tackle this brillance that is God’s creation between our ears sooner rather than later.
Our thinking is one of the things that frequently holds us back from pursuing or even wanting to move forward in doing the things God has called us to do while we wait.
As I was thinking about this the other day as well as that phrase, I thought:
Has anyone ever considered that the blessing could very well be in the form of a trial, a period of waiting, or a current struggle, which by the way are the things we get to share with others whom God has called us to serve?
What do I mean?
Perhaps the blessing could be:
-out of our mistakes
-out of our failures
-out of our poor choices
-out of our sin
…all with the hope that we can then walk alongside another sister and encourage her based on the lesson(s) we are learning or have learned.
Your very storm could be the blessing that God is asking you to be a blessing to another sister by sharing it with her, even if it is still a current struggle.
There is so much we can learn from each other, and avoid if we shared our testimonies more. (Check out a few that were shared on our YouTube channel.)
Just some food for thought….would love to hear your thoughts ladies!
Digging Deeper
Can you think of something previously or right now that fits what I described above in your life or the life of someone else?
I could not agree with this blog more!! I too am at a crossroad and have been reminded that my mistakes are not my own. They are so that I may share and help to encourage others who will one day walk down this same journey and fight the same battle. The enemy loves to condemn us when we fall short and I have fell victim of allowing shame and confusion to set in. But, the Holy Spirit always gently reminds me that there is no condemnation in Christ. And we must not stay down for long. We ALL fall short of the Glory of God and it is so wonderful to be able to help another sister through and/or receive encouragement ourselves when we are in our own valleys. May God continue to use us all to uplift and encourage one another 🙏🏼
