The other day I was listening to a message by Pastor’s Furtick’s wife, Holly.
Her messages are always soooooo good.
She was referencing Luke 16:10, one of my favorite scriptures.
She talked about being faithful in little things and how she always read it as a promise vs. a principle.
Yet, the scripture says that until we are faithful in the little/small things, we will never be faithful in the large ones.
Wow, this was such a new perspective for me, as God has been talking to me about being faithful in the small, seemingly insignificant things.
He’s been telling me that those things matter too.
This goes for every area of my life.
Then God challenged when He asked me,
What small things have you been disregarding as unimportant?
Those things matter too.
Today, remember that whatever small steps you take forward in what God has called you to do, even now while you are waiting, are important.
Don’t count them out as unimportant, pointless or useless.
Psalm 37:23 tells us that God delights in every detail of our lives.
So in the same way, just like our Daddy, let us delight in those small things.
It’s how you do in the seemingly mundane tasks of what He has called you to do, even when they don’t make sense, that shows that you will be able to handle and be faithful in the larger things.
Be encouraged and take those steps, no matter how small! They matter to Him!
