This was the image that came to mind when I read our weekly scripture awhile back:
Death is swallowed up in victory…But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 1 Cor. 15:55, 57, NLT
This is what happened on the cross for you and for me.
Not only was death swallowed up in victory, but we now have victory OVER death (see how the image has the word Victory over death as well?).
We instantly gained victory over death because Jesus did when He conquered death on the Cross.
May you reflect on that this week–we have already conquered the greatest battle we will ever face because of the Cross!
