For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for Him. ~Philippians 1:29 NLT
Normally, when we think of or hear that word privilege, it brings about pleasant feelings. One might even feel special because he/she may be experiencing something in which others do not have access.
Yet, as with everything in the Kingdom of God, the concept of privilege is different and well, reversed.
This week’s scripture tells us that not only is it a privilege to trust in Christ (something I believe many of us would agree with), but that it’s a privilege to suffer for Him.
Wait what now?!
Have you considered that what you may be experiencing right now, in this season of waiting, or throughout your trials and tests, is a privilege?
This week, as you meditate on this scripture, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you specifically how your situation and what you may be suffering is a privilege.
May He give you a fresh, new perspective!
