Oh my goodness, y’all, I CANNOT believe that it has been 5 years since LadyinWaiting222 started. And honestly, I feel like we, i.e. the Lord and I because it is His grace alone that has kept this thing going, are just getting started! What I thought was just a blog to encourage and uplift women who are waiting (for whatever) and help to deepen their relationship with Christ, has kind of involved into a community. I am not sure what else the Lord is up to in this season.

I want to say thank you to you for reading, sharing, liking, and visiting over and over again year after year. Whether this is your first time here or you frequent this site often, welcome and thank you! I so appreciate you! I don’t see you as just a number, a viewer, as just one more like or follow. I see you as an individual, bearing the image of the one true God, the Creator of the universe, and loved so deeply by Him, whether you know Him personally or not, just yet.
His Grace + 114
Recently, the Lord has really been re-stirring something in my heart regarding discipleship and missions and it has caused me to come alive in a new way. It was further confirmed one day in the last several months when the Lord led me to look at something on the website traffic. I don’t often look at stats, but as I began reviewing them that day and compared it to when I first started the blog, I was blown away by what the Lord has done! Just in this first quarter of the year alone, the Lord has allowed this blog to be viewed as many times as it was viewed for the entire year when it was started in 2016. That’s His grace.
Each year the views and visitors have continued to go up steadily. That’s His grace. Yet, the biggest realization of all was when I was looking at the locations of the views. The Lord prompted me to go back and look at the countries where this blog has been viewed. Something you should probably know about me: I love to travel. I love learning about new cultures, traditions, trying new foods, meeting different people and hearing their stories. I have often prayed and asked the Lord to allow me to travel the world to enjoy what He created. As of today, can I tell you that although I may have not physically been to many of these countries (yet), this little blog has been viewed in over 114 out of 195 countries!
I have been “traveling” the world through this blog. Lol. Let’s give it up one time for Jesus! That’s His grace.
What is even more exciting is this: I don’t simply see the names of the countries, but I recognize that there are real people in those countries reading this website. Real live people who are hearing about Jesus, maybe for the first time, or who may be unsure of Him. Then there are some who know Him very intimately and have a personal relationship with Him. Behind the screen are individuals created in the image of God, just like me, who belong to a family, a community, live in a city and have been made with purpose, for purpose and on purpose by a great God. Yes, Sis (or Sir), I am talking to YOU. You were created in the image of a great God, the King of Kings and He has created you with a purpose. You are valuable to Him, cherished by Him and loved so deeply by Him, more than you’ll ever know. Know that when I read your country’s name, I am praying for you! I may not know you by name, but He does.
When I blog now, while I always have the reader in mind, I want to be even more intentional about making Jesus known to you in a deeper and more personal way, introducing you to Him, reacquainting you with Him or continuing to light the passion and fire in your heart for Him. He is real. He is relevant. He is righteous and He is so in love with you.
In this 5th year, the year of grace, here are some things I want to do more of:
- More Kingdom collaborations (see below)
- Create more discipleship resources/content
- Record Monday mini video devotionals, which I started in January 2021, (visit LadyinWaiting222’s instagram page) to view past ones
- Vlog Testimonies (highlighting women’s waiting, faith and God stories so you can be encouraged)
- Create/design apparel and other items for purchase (to support the upkeep of the blog)
- Giveaways
Speaking of giveaways, for this year’s giveaway, I am collaborating with 4 other awesome Kingdom women to give away 7 items to one blessed winner and I am sooooooooo excited! Follow LadyinWaiting222’s instagram page for more details. The giveaway starts, Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:01am CST and runs through March 12, 2021 at 11:59pm CST.
Here’s what you can expect from LadyinWaiting 222 this year:
- I will continue to blog at least once every month, usually the first Thursday of every month.
- I will continue to create Free Resources/Tools for you to become God’s best right NOW while waiting, usually posted on the 4th or last Thursday of each month.
- We will continue to host our Christ, Coffee & Conversations, every 1st Saturday of the month.
- Our monthly online Bible study (Sitting At His Feet) is on hold for now, as God has me on a more personal assignment this year that is near and dear to me. Feel free to watch previous studies on LadyinWaiting 222 YouTube Channel.
