Hi all,
I decided to join with Beth Moore and do the 31 Days of Prayer, where we will be praying for 31 days for the month of July. I decided to include my prayers here for each country I am praying for and as the Holy Spirit leads. I pray you will join me.
This is the confidence [I] have before Him: If [I] ask anything according to His will, He hears [me]. And if [I] know that He hears whatever [I] ask [I] know that [I] have what [I] asked of Him.”
1 John 5:14-15, CSB (emphasis mine)
(Using John 18 to guide these prayers)
Father, I pray:
- That You, Lord, would encouraged the hearts of the internally displaced Christians of Burkina Faso to know that You will never leave them or forsake them in the midst of tremendous loss for Christ
- That the Christians in Burkina Faso will hold tightly to their confession of faith despite their loss
- That Christians in Burkina Faso would know and be reminded that everything they have lost for the sake of Christ is not in vain
- That believers in Burkina Faso, in the face of persecution, will continue to stand in who they are in Christ and that because the Father has given them to Jesus, not one will be lost
- That believers in Burkina Faso would not respond to violence in the face of being threatened with violence, but will continue to lean on Christ and their faith
- That believers in Burkina Faso, in the face of opposition and persecution, will not deny that they are Christians or that they know Jesus
- That believers in Burkina Faso are teaching and being taught the Word of God, as they continue to grow in Christ and become firmly rooted in Him
- That believers in Burkina Faso would continue to speak the truth of the Gospel no matter they face, that many would receive Christ
- That believers in Burkina Faso who may have denied knowing Jesus to protect themselves from harm would repent and turn back to Christ
- That believers in Burkina Faso when questioned whether they belong to Jesus that they would see these opportunities to share the Good News that many in their country would receive Christ
- That believers in Burkina Faso would be reminded that Jesus’ Kingdom is not of this world so they don’t need to fit into the world, but will continue to follow the rules of the Kingdom of God, where God is their King
- That believers in Burkina Faso would continue to testify to the truth of who Jesus is and that all who love the truth will recognize Jesus is who He says He is and receive Him
- That believers in Burkina Faso will not be double-minded and follow the pressure of the day in the country to act outside of what the Word of God says to do
- That believers in Burkina Faso are relying fully on the Holy Spirit to lead and guide them as they are grieving their losses and that their hearts won’t become hardened because of the pain of loss for choosing Christ
- That believers in Burkina Faso will count it all joy when they experience trials, knowing that it is a testing of their faith in order to produce patience in them
In Jesus’ name, I pray. AMEN!
But before you go…
***Tomorrow is not promised. Today is all we have. If you are reading this and haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Savior, would you consider doing so right now? Jesus died so He could have a personal relationship with you and so that one day, when you leave this earth, you can spend eternity with Him. You can say a prayer similar to this:
Dear Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. You showed Your great love for me, while I was in my sinful state, by sending Jesus Christ to die for me. Today, right now, I declare that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Please enter into my heart, Lord Jesus, forgive me of all of my sins, and seal me with Your Holy Spirit. I choose this day to live for You, all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you said this prayer (or something similar) and you truly meant it, welcome to the family of God! Angels in heaven are rejoicing with you on the best decision you will ever make in life, and so am I! Please send me an email (ladyinwaiting222@gmail.com) or respond to this post so I can celebrate with you!
